BioU is a integrated open system for bioinformatics education. It consists of a collection of resources within a learning management system including:

  • Course materials
  • Multimedia video lessons
  • A multi-disciplinary bioinformatics glossary
  • Prerequisite materials.
  • A computational server
BioU's purpose is to support the teaching of bioinformatics. As such there are no charges or fees to use BioU for self-paced or classroom learning and use.

Guests can access some of the available materials on BioU. However guests can not use the integrated computational server or upload course materials to the learning management system. To make use of these facilities, please apply for a grant to use the system. Grant access is required to ensure that we have the computational resources available to meet the needs of students in your class and to provide feedback on the usage of BioU to funding agencies.
