Course Modules are stand-alone bioinformatics lessons that can be integrated into coursework. Each module has general and specific objectives, and includes prerequisite materials, video lessons, and a variety of other materials.

Course modules can be integrated into your coursework in two different ways:
  • The simplest way to use the modules is to simply tell your students to go to the URL of the module that you want your students to use. Modules can be viewed using guest access, so no pre-arranged setup is required. However accessing the system in this manner means that you will not be able to use the integrated computational server or use many features of the learning management system such as uploading your own course materials or tracking your students performance and progress.
  • Have access to the learning management system arranged for all the students in your class. Using this option, you will be able to track your students performance and progress on the module through the learning management system. With this option, instructors can choose to just use a single module, or multiple modules. Plus instructors will have space that they can upload their own materials, exercises, and supplemental lessons. All students in your course will also have access to the integrated computational server. This option is free of charges, however the course instructor must have a grant access to use the system in this manner.
